Hernando, FL (August 20, 2019) - Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club proudly announces the reopening of its Skyview at Terra Vista golf course. On Wednesday, August 28, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Skyview Clubhouse at 8:15am. The event celebrates the completion of a nearly four month, $700k improvement project. The course was closed on May 8th for renovations, which included: replacing the greens with TifEagle ultradwarf turfgrass; enlarging, leveling and re-sodding many of the tee grounds; redesigning sand bunkers and filling them with new, bright white sand; rebuilding the bridge between holes 17 and 18; extending cart paths; expanding irrigation; and crowning many of the surrounding trees.
“Players can expect the same great course conditioning plus TifEagle greens, which now provide a faster and more consistent game for our players,” said Jimmie Brothers, PGA, Golf Director. “When golfers walk off the course we want them to immediately call their friends and say, ‘You’ve got to come play this course!’ For us, that’s the ultimate goal.”
The course opens for play to the public beginning on Thursday, August 29th. Call to reserve a tee time now to be one of the first to experience this newly renovated course. Consider yourself a “Member for the Day” as golfers are welcome to peruse our fully stocked Pro Shop and dine for lunch at our spectacular Skyview Restaurant on Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 2:30pm, or stay to enjoy our happy hour every Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 8pm.
