We fell in love with the beauty of the lake and mountains and the sense of serenity within the gates when we first visited Rarity Bay. These emotions have continued in the years we have lived here and have been enhanced by the wonderful group of people who choose to call Rarity Bay home!

Coming from the Midwest to the South has been a welcoming cultural change for us. Initially we came for relief of the harsher northern winters, but in Rarity Bay we found so much more than just a warmer climate. The people of Rarity Bay come from many different areas of the country as well as many different professions, life experiences and regional perspectives. Even though there are a variety of backgrounds, there is a real sense of community, interconnection and neighbor helping neighbor. We cannot imagine a better place to call home.

We moved here for the lake, the mountains, and the views - - but we quickly discovered that the best aspect of Rarity Bay is the wonderful group of friendly, active, social and downright terrific people that live here!

We have lived in Rarity Bay for the past 6 years. We purchased our lot in 2008 so we know the area pretty well. Like most people who visit Rarity Bay for the first time you are taken back by the wide open lake/mountain views and the beautiful homes. It wasn't until we moved here that we really found the beauty in Rarity Bay. The people are so warm and inviting and fitting in easy. See Rarity Bay is large enough to have many activities like boating, golf, Equestrian, fitness, pool semi private Club, gardening, cards, etc. You name it and their is probably a group for it. We feel really blessed to be here. We have made several new friends and stay active. We truly are living the dream.

Kathy and I made the move to Rarity Bay from San Diego several years back. We’d lived and raised our family in San Diego for over 40 years. Nervous, you bet we were. This community welcomed us with open arms. They are a diverse group of warm and caring people. We built our forever home here on “ The Bay” and couldn’t be happier. Boating has become a big part of our life. We’ve embraced Pickleball which brings with it a whole new group of friends. There is a club for just about everything. Maybe your slice of heaven is here too.

My husband came to play golf here while we were living in Texas. At the end of the round he texted me, "I just shot a 71 on a beautiful course in Tennessee. Sell the house in Texas, we are moving to Tennessee." When we came up again for work, we rented a condo & found one to buy. We loved it so much here we never went home. After selling our Texas homes we bought a villa then a larger home. We love the changes of season & the incomparable beauty. I feel that the only things more beautiful than the breathtaking landscape (golf course, Lake, Tellico, & the mountains) are the people that live here! Truly a little slice of heaven!

The beauty of Rarity Bay is more than what you see when you drive through the gates. The true beauty is the people and the friendliness that abounds here. I have never lived in a more enjoyable and welcoming place. Traveling is still something I enjoy, but it is always good to come “home” to Rarity Bay!
