- Verified Resident (Since 2005)
After traveling the world courtesy of the US Air Force and residing in Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Italy as well as Massachusetts, Florida, California, New York, Wyoming, Indiana and Maryland my wife and I found a “home” at Heritage Shores. As
“Pioneers” among the first 50 residents we selected H.S. in Nov 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of this ideal American small-town. It filled our principle need, low-taxes, close to Dover AFB for no-cost military air space “A” to Europe and beyond as well as savings at the commissary and Base Exchange, near to the beach without the hassle of constant tourists and their traffic, excellent local food sources due to this being a farming state, county and community. Being originally from Massachusetts I wanted mild year-round 4-seasonal weather and this is it. Good hospitals, lots of activities for those wanting activity and lots of peace and quiet for those wanting that life-style. A community is made up of people and my wife and I have found Heritage Shores to be the best and most interesting friendships we have found anywhere we’ve lived. This is a terrific place for military retirees and we have a very active 56 member and growing Military Club providing activities of interest to vets and retirees alike from all 5 services. Check us out you’ll find a friendly community that will make you wish you had come here earlier. Kiwanians and former Kiwanians especially active locally in support of our neighbors and friends.
